This got taken down (mass reported maybe?) because apparently "it contains content that was copied without credit". I think this might be because the credits are contained inside the project instead of in the instructions, so I'll put it here too.

The official game this is based off of is Spelunky 2 by Mossmouth. Super fun game, I highly recommend it, even if it's the hardest game I've ever played. Most of the art, gameplay ideas, most level designs were taken from it.
This was also inspired by @panther__ 's Spelunky HD remake, but I didn't take anything directly from that project.

It's a very complicated game
Your goal is to get from the top of the level to the bottom. Every level is randomly generated, with enemies and loot. Try to make it through as many levels as you can.
There is some blood in the game, but you can turn it off in settings
if you're having problems with lag and you can't use turbowarp, enable performance mode in settings
Controls:
left and right arrow keys to move left and right
[Z] to jump
[X] to whip
[C] to bomb
[D] to rope
[A] to buy items and go through doors
[0] to view world record (while playing)
